ADVISORY: SF Board of Supervisors President David Chiu to Introduce Resolution Opposing NDAA

David Chiu, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, stands with civil rights activists to oppose the National Defense Authorization Act, a federal law that allows the military to arrest and detain American citizens on U.S. soil without a warrant or due process. Supervisor Chiu plans to introduce a resolution the same day with Supervisors Jane Kim, David Campos, John Avalos, Eric Mar and London Breed to call on Congress to repeal the indefinite detention provisions of the Act.
